Hi there,

Is it possible to add a plug socket to my room from a light switch.

All that is in the room at the moment is a light and light switch, and i'd like to add a plug socket!

If so whats the best way to do it?

Cheers OL

No, you can't do that.

Isn't there a socket in an adjacent room that you could spur from, or is there something unusual about the building?

No its alike a big cuboard/coat closet etc.

Next door is a toilet. The nearest socket is across the hallway.

What is the floor made of? If it's wooden floorboards, then you could probably get a spur installed from the socket in the hall and have the cable run under the floor then into your room.
What sort of property is it?
