I intend to run power to a garden shed, inside the shed will be a two way consumer unit with a 30mA RCD, does the connection to the ring need to be made via a fused spur with a RCD or is a normal switched type ok?

If you have an RCD CU in the shed then there is no need for an RCD FCU.

Is the existing ring not already RCD protected?

Is 13A really enough power for your shed requirements?

RF lighting,
thanks for the reply, the main consumer unit in the house has rewireable fuses, and it would involve too house bashing to feed direct from this, hence me takeing a spur of the downstairs ring, I only need a couple of sockets and a floresent lamp.
