I am now back to working on the kitchen and going to make it a beauty.

I seem to remember that 2 or 3 sockets are spurs off spurs so do I need to address this and change to a ring main.?

Thanks

Yes- only 1 x spur should be taken. Spurs off spurs should be via 13a fused spur to limit the total load to 13a.

Best to do away with spurs completely and put everything on as ring then each spur can handle 13a, which is a far better functional design.

To avoid 'spots' of spurs everywhere think about MK grids which can have 4 x spur / switches in a double socket b/box.

If your flash you can even get the swithces with signage- w/machine, tumble drier, dish washer etc

If it was a football post it would have said 'Leads'!!!!!!!!!!!

(Not a Leeds fan BTW, come on the FOREST!!!!!)
