Spy Sweeper? What is a safe way to removeit.

This software is on a laptop, is it safe to just uninstall it, or is there some nasty background activity if you try it?

I've uninstalled this without any apparent ill effects.

However, I'd recommend that you install and run a decent anti-spyware application afterwards.

OK, tried to remove it, but it said no can do, no dat file available. Looking at it in the program list it does not appear, so it appears to be taking up 11.5Mb.

Right then off to the other thread for spyware.

In that case just delete its files from Program Files, and use TweakUI to remove the entry from the "Add/Remove Programs" list.
