Hi,

I have one downstair radiator which for some strange reason since last autumn is starting what I think some squeaking noise behind the radiator. The squeaking noise lasts very short and sounds more like a low clicking noise which comes on irregularly throughout the heating period. It is difficult to pin point the exact location of the sound but it is near the water input valve end of the radiator and seems more or less to be in the area of bracket where the radiator fits.

This has never happened before and the squeaking noise is getting more frequent and longer than last autumn.

I thought it may be the air trapped inside which I subsequently bleed it but the same thing happens. Could anyone offer an explanation and fixes?

Could be the rad moving on the brackets, when its heating or cooling.
