Have a Honda Civic Auto that has now got squeaky brakes at the front.

What will cure this :?: :(

Copper grease on all the moving parts especially the back of the pads and where they slot in and slide against the callipers, the squealing is actually the pads vibrating which is why they generally don't squeal when the pedal is fully deployed only under very light braking.

If you know your way around the brakes, you'll need to get the pads out to do it. This all assumes they're not worn out too

Sounds like your pads are worn out, Honda`s have a metal springy bit that makes contact with the disc and screeches when the pads are low!

I had the pads replaced by the local garage and am now £50 lighter. :(

Got off lightly as Kwik Fit wanted £75 to do the job. :D
