Hi fellas

I am going to be tiling my kitchen floor soon and have some 450 x 450 tiles that I want to stagger the joints so that you have a whole tile then next to it there is a joint half way.

Something like this

What would be the best way to start please?

Plot the centre of your room and start with a full tile and work outwards, this should give equal cuts around the edges. Try laying them dry to start with.

Shall be starting on Saturday. I am ok with everything (I think) apart from getting the staggered joints to look equal.

Any tips so that I get each adjacent tile exactly half as per the above pic. I am thinking of battens but open to guidance.

one way is dry lay it mr B, it may seem a pain in the ass but if your so unsure that you cant do the measuring to get it spot on, give that a go

Just take a length of batten and use it as a straight edge to line up the starting point for each row.
