Hello all,

I want to stain my wooden floor after sanding. However, the stain I can see in B&Q all say "not suitable for flooring" - but if I use this stain and then varnish using clear floor varnish - will this work fine?

For example - stain using this and then varnish using this?

Will that work? I realise that the stain is also a varnish which might cause problems?

If not, what stain could I use instead?

Many thanks for your advice in advance!

Stain is not suitable, will wear quickly if walked on, you need a wood dye then you can varnish if you wish.
A stain sits on the surface where a dye is absorbed and minor chips will still be dyed.
