As part of major works on my house, I've replaced a staircase to a loft room.
Although the headroom is the regulation 2m in parts, because of the angle of the ceiling, it is down to 1.9m in other parts.
Was just wondering if anyones had exprience of building inspectors and this sort of thing. Do I not say anything and hope to get away with it or ask the inspector and point out something that he may have missed?

Thanks.

Ought to be mentioned though that most Inspectors will take a view on stair headroom for loftys where there are space issues. So whilst it may not strictly comply it may not be a problem. Be ready to say the conversion doesn't work with the stair in any other position. If it does then you've dropped a clanger.
