Hi,
We live in a victorian period property and at some stage would love to replace the staircase with oak. My neighbour has mentioned in the past that both houses were built at the same time, terraced victorian houses. He has said that the staircase could be joined between the twop properties and counter balanced as such. Now i have never heard of this and just wondered if he has got it wrong, if it was true would this cause major problems.
