And brexit did happen exactly as it said on the ballot paper, which I believe simply stated do you want the UK to leave the EU or remain in the EU...

Nothing seems to have changed. Since 2016 all socialist parties have fiddled with the terms for leaving so we are pretty much where we were then. Life still goes on, I can travel to Europe if I wish, we are still stymied by the ECHR (one of the main reasons for wanting to leave) ILLEGAL migration is still happening, it was happening before the Brexit vote, it's just more focused on today. So all in all, I don't see much difference.
