Starmer's treachery

Yet again Starmer proves he isn’t up to the job of PM
Name a PM that never lied, deceived, or covered up anything up.

But anyway, I honestly believe that he thought he was best for the job due to his extensive contacts in the business and political world. It is entirely possible that Starmer did not know the details at all. Starmer says that he asked Mandelson about the relationship, and Mandelson "lied repeatedly" to him, downplaying the depth of the connection.

If that is reason to say he can't be PM, then probably safe to say that nobody in the world should be PM ever again.

I reckon Starmer thought Mandleson, like Trump, was a corrupt deceitful liar, so would be best suited for dealing with Trump.

Not sure I agree with any of that.

Go back a few decades and any MP caught out was instantly sacked

And also think about the speech that Starmer made on the 5th July 24 - at that point I gave him the benefit of doubt - but now, based on his performance I think he needs to realise he’s not up to the job and go

Perhaps his real "Sin" was being found out then! ;)

right "MP" yes I think that one would be unlikely to catch anyone out as it usually means Member of Parliament - but in some cases could mean Military Policeman or something,
Thats why I like to keep abbreviations and accronyms few and far between and immediately relevant to what else is been stated unless of course one puts it then puts the real meaning in brackets at first mention.
It prevents a lot of confusion.

An old school friend who I try not to associate with any more because of his drug and alcohol use, hasn't worked for years. Last time I saw him up the pub was around about the time of the last local elections, and he asked me who I was voting for, I didn't tell him, but he was very vocal in his support for Reform, and his hatred of immigrants and Labour.
I'll vote Reform next time as they're the only option that isn't already known to be terrible.

I'd challenge your association between voting Reform and hating immigrants. I don't hate or blame any immigrants for anything. I do hate our policies and politicians who are welcoming unlimited numbers of them that we definitely can't handle.

When the bus is full, the bus driver will drive past the people at the next bus stops. Not because he hates them, but because there's no room left for them.

Boris Johnson should have been sacked on many occasions.

There's no way Mandleson failed security vetting and someone at the top of government didn't know about it, but the last thing this country needs now is a leadership contest in the governing party, or even worse, a general election when so much is going on in the world, especially when the alternatives to Starmer are so dire.
Imagine if a general election happened now and we ended up with Farage or Polanski in charge!?

It looks like Starmer has a weekly review of what facts are known by the public, then he cobbles together a story that he can steer around the known facts that allows him to claim he didn't know. The list of knowns keeps growing, so his route around them becomes ever more convoluted. Then he chucks in a bit of village amateur dramatics level emotion about how annoyed he was that nobody told him. And all while pretending that the story he gave last week never happened. His body language and tone is really revealing, he's obviously tense about the whoppers he's telling.

I know people like this, they're utterly frustrating to deal with and rely on everyone around them never challenging them. They get emotional when anyone does, as they know that they're defending a tangled plate of spaghetti of lies of their own making.

All utterly pathetic and getting more desperate by the week. I hope he gets put out of what must be a completely miserable life as soon as possible.

Farage is known to be a terrible person and a corrupt hypocrite. Reform councils are being ran terribly so you can't use that excuse.

I work on construction sites and most of the tradesmen I hear taking about politics and mention who they are voting for say they are going to vote Reform, and many of them say it's because they want the immigrants out. A lot of them express their hatred for Muslims.

A bus driver stops picking up passengers when all the seats are full and there's no more standing room. Only 5% of the land in the UK is being used for residential development.

Net immigration numbers dropped by two thirds last year.
