Hi, just got one of these off eBay and some Centre branded saws. I've never used one before and when I screw the saw on fully the pins/holes don't line up, I have to back it up a tiny bit. Is this a clever way of stopping the saw getting jammed on the thread or are the parts not compatible?

Thanks.

P.S. apologies if it's not considered entirely a plumbing question.

You don't tightening it all the way down.

Align the pins with a few mm between the arbour and the bit. They then lock the bit in place.

Otherwise it's a total pita to get it apart afterwards.

Great, that's what I figured after a bit of thought.

Thanks
