Steam Generator Iron

I've looked at my sister's Swan brand iron cause it wouldn't switch on and I found the the solenoid valve has got a fault.

Its the second Steam Generator Iron she's had, the previous one had the same fault.

I tend to see these irons at the local refuse, I suspect these solenoid valves are the weak link.
