Hi guys. I’m re-purposing some conduit and was wondering if anyone knows if I can cut it with an evolution mitre saw or would a grinder be better.
Thanks in advance
Well, you could, if the blade is in good nick, you clamp it well and wear decent PPE. Same goes for a grinder. Personally I'd use a hacksaw or a proper pipe cutter.
seems it can watching this video, many on youtube, although this guys safety is not great and is just a bad accident waiting to happen - But it does show cutting conduit/piping
I use a jigsaw with a metal cutting blade. It gives a nice clean cut, you don’t need a hot works permit and it is less likely to snag and be ejected at high speed than using a chop saw.
