Steel Gas Pipe and New Boiler

KIrk why do you think its compression under the floor

from experience of seeing loads of MI tees with MI x cu st boiler connections screwed into them, the OP says there is 15mm copper to the boiler coming out of the floor, which (probably) wont be done with an MIx yorkshire connection, dont think he mentioned material of fire pipe so it could be steel all the way

And the old pipe is 1"OD not inch pipe it's only 3/4" internally.

New gas pipe time

3/4" would probably just do the boiler.

I'm inclined to go with the man on site though, and say new gas pipe required. but that is a size issue and not, a material one.

Steel gas pipes are the bees knees.

what's a yorkshire connection?

Don't know about the pipe to fireplace, assume it's steel and then becomes copper somewhere under the floor. I don't know really. Just guessing.

Guessing and assuming is pointless and non productive.

We cannot give advice without the facts 100% accurate.
