Just had some steel stringers installed I am fitting the treads myself. Apart from drilling the wrong size holes and fitting the bolts at an angle when I came to paint it I discovered several gaps where they had not welded the tread support to the main stringer evenly.
As I am using a lighter colour paint to the black gloss they threw on, the gaps although not wide or long are very visible.
Whats the best filler preferable with a gun to fill the gaps without having to remove the paint if possible ?
