Hi,
I am in the process of upgrading the rads in our 1930s (chilly) house.
I am considering A stelrad vertex K2 2000x500 (tall and thin) rad, simply because we have limited wall space. It's about 2kw, which is about what is needed for this largish room with 2 external solid walls.
My ceilings are 2.4m high, and I wondered that due to the design of this rad whether most of the heat dissipated from convection is just going to heat the room above, since there will only be about 20cm above the radiator due to its height.
Anyone have any experience similar? Alternatives are something a bit more fancy but it's difficult to get the same heat output.
EDIT: One alternative is this:
http://www.screwfix.com/p/reina-neva-double-radiator-1800-x-413mm-white/53392
Which to me looks like it might be a bit better.
Darned wall is only 500mm wide!
Thanks!
