I would appreciate some advice here. My portable barbeque (smokey joe) is a bit rubbish. I've done some reading and the gist is that because the vents are in the sides rather than bottom, air moves over the coals rather than through them.
Quite a few people have modified their barbeques by drilling 20mm holes in the base of the barbeque. They've all used step drills to achieve this.
I've been looking online and there are lots of different types from cheapo Erbauer to expensive Irwin unibit. Would the cheapo drill bit do for drilling through porcelain enamel?
I've also seen dewalt's impact driver step bit. How does this work?
