Sticking PlasterBoard to wall

I am going to be sticking plaster Board to my Bathroom walls. I have removed tiles from the walls so there is alot of tile Adhesive still on the wall. So will the Bonding stick to this or will it have to be removed.
I am going to Pva the wall anyway if this makes a difference.

Bonding will stick to tile adhesive no problem, but it won't stick to plasterboard very well.

You need proper board adhesive

did you mean thistle bonding or drywall bonding compound?

I have got plaster board adhesive from Wickes.
Will this stick to the old tile adhesive.

Don’t know what the plaster board adhesive from Wickes is made of (it’s probably an own brand Gyproc product!) but I use Gyproc dry wall adhesive & this works on practically anything!

Thanks for all your coments I will check to see what this board adhesive is made of and if I have doubts I will change it.
