Hi, Like others on here I am having problems with oil not feeding to the chain.
I have cleaned out oil tank, cleaned oil supply channel and only a littl oil travels.
Can anyone tell me if the oil pump gear and spring can be replaced - its behind the clutch- without taking off handle and oil pump.

The pump is a tiny gear driven thing, which gets its movement from a white plastic worm gear driven in turn by the clutch drum. These items are simple to access with the clutch removed...you may see the plastic worm is driven by a spring wire which connects to the clutch drum.
Unfortunately its a big strip down, including handles off, to pull the pump out (special tool required).
The pump won't be at fault - its the tiny passages alongside of the thing that block up, and it must go back the same way.
It could help to flush paraffin mix through the oil tank, if your luck is in but I doubt it!
You can get the Stihl manual from GHS who have an ebay shop.
John :)
