I am about to order everything I need to completely redo our bathroom and having looked around we have decided we really like Travertine tiles.

Unfortunately I don't think our walls could support the weight of such heavy tiles without backer boards - 1 outside brick wall, 3 partition walls made from breeze block (1930s) and 1 12mm WBP ply wall (all skimmed except plywood).

Can anyone point me in the direction of some decent stone effect tiles? The samples I have been sent look a bit pony to be honest.

I just did a bathroom with Crema Marfil tiles from Wickes. Marble effect. Very impressed with them, they look more expensive than they were. Not on sale any more unfortunately but still only £20/m-ish.
