So I have 25mm MDPE going into a coupler that connects it to 15mm copper and then straight to the stop tap.

At some point this year we are going to have our CH\DWH system replaced but we are about to refitt are kitchen and before that happens I would like to change the above arrangement so that it goes to 22mm copper and a "full bore" stop tap then plumbed on in 22mm to where the boiler is.

Simple right? Okay answer this do I have to use a tap of this type:

When I have looked at these they seem quite restrictive, or can I use this:

Which look almost straight through when open, or one of these:

Which again seems to have less restriction.

This may seem like a simple question but I would rather do it right then twice!

Thanks in advance.

Gate valve is for low pressure so shouldnt be used.

The full bore leaver should be fine. Make sure its WRAS approved.

Gate valves are guaranteed. Guaranteed to seize, snap the shaft, and for the wheel to fall off.

Gate valves are from the steam age, and are the work of the devil. They have no place in the 21st century.

Use the full bore lever valve.

Use the full bore lever valve.
