ha ha yes it will go softer then will go harder again when it gets cold, flux lasts forever and is very versatile personally I have never seen flux go off in that it could no longer be used

I bought a load of Yorkshire flux once that had 'gone out of date'. 50p a tub.

If you buy a DeLorean van in time it can be fitted with a Flux Capacitor.

The flux gets hotter when you solder the joints so it should be fine in a van. Or does the OP worry about storing his solder?

I've got flux 40yrs old too we must have bought the same job lot is it alright to leave tools in van overnight (chuckle)
