How long can you store gloss paint after it has been opened. I've got half a large tin of brilliant white gloss which is about 4 years old. I last used it on some skirting about a year ago, and the skirting still looks fine. I've given it a good stir and it looks good. Will it still be all right to use?

I`m glad you said that - I had a tin of Dulux gloss with Silthane , once. Used it about 6 years ago - when did they stop silthane ? It wasn`t very good  . If it had been Normal gloss it would`ve been OK I`m sure.

Fine to use but just be careful if it has skinned over in the tin. Remove as much as you can by fishing it out and then filter through an old pair of tights to remove any remaining. A good stir and you're away.
