strand woven bamboo flooring for stairs

Hi Guys

I'm going to floor my lower, mid, and upper landings with hardwood, I also, however, intend to overlay the stair treads with hardwood.

Was initially intending to use oak, as I've just fitted new oak doors. However, my concern is how well hardwood will wear on the stairs, so I'm now looking at strand woven bamboo, as I know this is harder than oak.

Does anyone have any pro's/ con's for me? Previous experiences??
