Hello, a concept I heard stated (actually two concepts stated by 1/ person A/ and 2/ person B/.
Whether person A/ and person B/ are two different people or actually the same one person or two people who are related in some way or indeed the gender of the person(s) I shall not mention until I have sufficient view points.

Concept 1/ - when making a sandwich (or a toast) a person asked for two slices of bread.
Another person makes a sandwich with one slice of bread, butters it then puts a filing on top, it is an open sandwich.
Then repeats to make another similar.
The filling might be a slice of cheese or some jam or anything really.
The person eating it now has the choice to eat one open sandwich then the other or to fold each one in two or to join the first and second sandwich together at the filling side to make a "double decker" sandwich.
The person making them objects that unless they are eaten as two separate open sandwiches the the folded ones or the joined one because they now have too much cheese/jam/whatever on them.
The person eating them replies that in all cases the total bread and total filling remains the same so what is the objection?
Whether it is for health reasons or economy or something else I do not know.

Concept 2/ - A couple vist a person every week or so, one week they see there is now a leather settee and similar matching chair in the kitchen.
(Thankfully the kitchen is not so small as to making it too difficult to use but perhaps a slight hinderance though).
It appears that the settee in chair belongs to one of the children who is not quite yet ready to use it so wants to store it there if that is acceptable).
After a few months they are still there and seems no great problem.
One day another child visits the house and whilst leaving asks this child to tell the other child to remove it before the forthcoming holiday at next weekend .

One observer said " Oh, I guess you are going to bring your suitcases etc down in the kitchen a day or so before you go on holidayjust to make ir easier?. "no".
"Oh, perhaps you bring it into the kitchen when you return from holiday, before taking it upstairs" "No".

"Oh, I remember your old disabled Mother in Law lives with you and in the past rather than move her to your brother/sister in laws house you arranged to have them to live in your house for the two weeks your holiday abroad". "No".
" Ho, perhaps one of your other children might stay here for a day or two whist you away?". "No".

"So the Settee and Chair have now been here a few months and you do not mid if it takes a few months longer but according to you you do not want them here in your kitchen whilst you are on holiday and no one will be staying at your home whilst you on holiday, None of it can be seen by anyone from your front door or back door or back garden because no access is possible by legal means except by burglars and police in pursuit or fire brigade if attending etc but no one else will see them and they will not be in anybodies way but you do not want them there just because you are not at home?" . "That`s correct!"

I can not see the logic in any of the two scenarios.
Any suggestions what I might be missing?
