In fact has now broken in 'both' the family bathroom and my en suite, so need to fix both....lol...

They have snapped right at the top, so no chance of tieing up. I believe I need to replace the whole rose - I know they're not expensive.

But.....am a little confused by the wiring. I 'could' get an electrician, but don't want to if it is actual an easy fix.

There are plenty of demonstrations on YouTube etc on how to replace the rose, but they all show just one L, one N and one E wire.
My current rose has yellow/green, 2 black and 2 red.

In the old rose: yellow/green go to the E terminal
one black goes to 'N Load'
other black goes to 'N IN'
one red goes to 'L Load'
other red goes to 'L IN'

In a new rose I have, there are only the following terminals:
E
L1
L2
COM

Perhaps it is the wrong rose altogether.
In which case what is the name of the one I need?

Or........is it not as easy as I think it might be, and I 'should' get an electrician anyway?

Have attached pictures of the existing wired rose and the new empty rose.

Advice greatly appreciated,

Cheers,
Don

You could disassemble the switches and fit new cords.

One red in COM, one red in L1 or L2 - doesn't matter which or which red.
Both blacks in a separate connector block.
Both Earth wires in Earth terminal.

Or
Get a Double Pole switch which is what you had before.

A ceiling rose is used for hanging pendant lights, but I'm note sure what you saw with just one L, one N and one E wire; they usually have several but at least two.

I take it you mean a pull cord, they would not usually have L N E, but a Live, Switchline and earth.
The switchline happening to be a black but NOT a Neutral.
In your switch the Blacks ARE Neutrals though.

Aha....so I need one called a 'Double Pole' pullcord switch. Thank you :)

Will (should!) be much easier replacing like for like :)

How easy to find an exact replacement though?
Looking on Amazon, I can find lots of items along the lines of 'Double Pole Pull Switch with Neon Indicator' - but only one actually shows what it looks like inside - and it seems nothing like the one I will be replacing.
Have attached a pic of it.

Perhaps I should go somewhere like Screwfix and show them a picture of my existing one and asked for the 'same again' ?

Thanks for all the advice so far :)

Cheers,
Don

So you have earth, N load, N in, L load, L in.

It has earth, N load, N in, L load, L in...

By jove, I think I've got it :)

Thanks very much for everyone's advice.

Have ordered one and am pretty confident I can fix it relatively easily.
Thereafter I will buy/install the second.

Cheers,
Don

The sguare one you show is a shower pullcord, it will do the job but will be quite clunky.
You will also need a sguare box to mount it on.
