My nephews Strom boiler has error code E7, so no hot water. The heating side is working Ok. Does anyone on here have any experience of these boilers?

That's an overheat code.
Reset thermal cut out.
Check incoming flow rate... Has it dropped?
And is temp set to high on display?

Thanks I'm going over to reset the thermal cutouts in a while, the flow rate and temp are ok when I checked them last night.

Reset the thermal cutouts and it doesn't seem to be that. We can adjust the flow so that it heats the water but it keeps going upt to 72 degrees whereupon it cuts out. My nephew tonight got it to work with the kitchen tap but it's coming out scalding hot.

We've tried adjusting that but just can't get it to work properly. I've now got one of those flow rate cups so we can set it a bit more accurately

I believe the water companies have reduced incoming mains due to the drought in some areas. In certain premises this could be enough to cause issues such as yours.

Can you adjust the set temp on the unit display?

Think he has managed to find an engineer to come out and look at it. Will let you all know what they find
