Strong adhesive pads

Can anyone recommend a strong double sided tape to stick my rear dashcam to the plastic trim please?

I’ve tried 3M, Gorilla clear double side tape, standard foam double side pads and nothing last more than a few days.

Did you try 3M VHB tape?

Yer, it was the VHB type.

Can't you stick it to the rear windscreen? Those tapes perform a lot better on glass than on plastic

To be honest the profile of the tailgate would mean a huge loop of cable would be visible if I put it on the glass.

If you have tried those manufacturers double sided then the issue is more likely that your fascia is not smooth and has lots of bubble/bumps in it.
I have mine on my rear window and the cable runs along in the roof lining with just a small loop visible to the camera.

I just put a small screw into trim, texture of trim usually prevents tape sticking.Or you could stick a couple of layers of foil tape on trim which leaves smooth surface for tape to stick too.
