Can second that.
I also have cheap studm/ metal finder from Argos whichis almost as good and a lot cheaper. It does find wooden studs, but its easierto look for the nails and work out where the studs are.
Recently had to put a vent in a laminated floor. Found the floorboard nails first, so I could miss the joists.
