Suggestions to hide gas meter better

Any ideas how to have this meter boxed in better without getting it moved?

In the very corner is a stack pipe.
Vertical pipes from meter: upwards is a bonding, downwards is gas to the property
Perhaps box in diagonally so I can recover head height?

Issues:
The boxing is deeper than it needs to because the gas pipe in wall is so far out
There is nothing below the meter that needs to be boxed in or that's in the way
I want to reclaim the space so a toilet can be fitted more comfortably

I'm sure you could redesign it but make sure that whatever you put in has an access door so that the emergency control valve can still be accessed without the use of any tools.
