Hi folks,

Is there something that smaller but still BS than a cloverleaf plug?

I have a small project I am working on which is powered by mains. It has exposed metal (brass lamp holders) so I need an earthed supply.

I would like to use a figure-8 plug but they are not earthed.

I don't want a big bulky power plug detracting from it.

It is only powering two 30W "vintage" bulbs so high current rating is not needed.

Thanks
Crispin

hmm, I might actually try that and see. Thanks.

It's not really the size of the socket which is the problem - it's the plug
All the cloverleaf "males" are rather industrial and will just detract from it.

Worse case I will no have a socket/plug and run the wire straight in with a PCB plug internally should I ever need to remove the cable.

My current (DELL) laptop charger has a small three pin plug on the mains cable, the last one (Fujitsu) was similar.

Not much bigger than a figure of 8. Not sure where you would get one.
