Hi Guys,

At the same time as building a conservatory we are going to be having a brick double skinned summerhouse/man cave built. This will be under permitted development, the size will be about 5m by 4m and no higher than 2.5m.

Foundation wise, would i go about the same as the conservatory, the summerhouse is at the other end of the garden and away from any trees.

So would i be looking at going 1m deep and 60cm wide, obviously ground conditions will give the final depth.

Or could i use a slab foundation as i will be putting a concrete floor in afterwards and probably tiling, if you would use a slab foundation, how far would you dig down and how deep would you pour the slab? I would use DPM, but would you also use rebar?

Thanks

John
