We have recently replaced 3 PCBboards on the sumprima 50 / Gledhill system, at a large cost due to continuing lock outs. The latest PCB lasted one day before our problems returned. We have also had the gas valve and three way valve changed to over come the problem.
Manufactures have been at £200 a visit also. Gledhill say it is potterton and Potterton say it is Gledhill. We currently are resetting the sumprima 4 - 5 times a day and are pursuing small UPS on the boiler feed on off the distribution board. We do not feel it is a backflow problem due to break tank on the Gledhill.
We are now pusing watcdhdog and are now asking the experts who use this site for help. We have basically run out of money and have a system that basically the local guys, two manufacturers can not get to run for more than a day. So anybody with the knowledge to assist before we rip the lot out and go and live with the Mother in Law until we can afford a new system.

Anyone properly checked the pump? does the boiler get very hot/boiling?

You could try p[sting on the plumbingpages.com forum - some Gledhill savvy chappies lurk there.
