SUNVIC TLM

I have just purchased a house which has a sunvic tlm in the front room

the heating system consists of a boiler in the garage ,hot water tank in the airing cupboard and water tank in the loft,

there are no thermostatic valves on the radiator's to control the heat how does the tlm work ?

,in previous houses I have owned you just turned on the heating and set the thermostat to the required heat, but how do you do this with the tamper proof tlm and is it pre-set at a certain heat ?

many thanks for your advice

I did start there and could not find the answer which is why i came on here.

if you are not a tenant, I'd change it for an ordinary one. If you can afford a programmable stat like a Honeywell CM907 it will be very much better.

I am going to modernise the house then rent it out i will be getting the boiler and controls changed.
I have only just picked up the keys and am trying to get my head around how the heating system is controlled

It works just like a normal stat. The cover is just to prevent fiddling with the set temperature.

If you are going to rent it out, it really needs changing to a normal stat, or preferably a programmable one, as you can't dictate what temperature the house will be as the tenant will be paying the gas bill.
