As I said, I reckon 99% probably 99.999% 0f stuff is rubbish, but some stuff does genuinely seem inexplicable, yes I think the photos of "people" in windows etc are just film faults, but the odd thing occasionally makes you go hmmm! Never experienced anything myself, but that as someone would point out is because I'm insensitive!! :D

I reckon your house has "history"......sleep well Mr M.....mwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar.....

Nah, it has a no feel to it whatsoever.

thats coz you are completley insensitive!!!!

Standing on James St station one morning after just missing the train to Birkenhead. looking down the tunnel at the departing train I thought i saw something on the opposite platform, (which is old fashioned and closed to the public). Turning my head there was nothing there, so looked down the tunnel again, there it was, right in the corner of my peripheral vision but obscured. Turned slightly, nothing. Final time looking down the tunnel and when I sensed it was there I just concentrated on not turning. Slowly I made out the figure of a man in dark grey trousers, wearing a long grey 'trench coat' and wearing a dark cap with a shiny black peak. Across his chest, slung form left shoulder to right hip, was one of those old style canvas knapsacks with the button down flap. He was just standing there not moving. As I turned he was gone. Now one of the things that struck me was there was not another person on that platform. That platform is never empty! There is always someone waiting for a train on that platform as it serves several destinations on the Wirral.
Mentioned it to a work mate and he suggested contacting a local historian/ghost writer to see if he knew anything. Emailed this guy but didn't expect a reasonable answer, maybe a suggestion I was tired as it was early morning or something. Within the hour I had a reply saying he hadn't heard of this particular ghost but it sounded like a Confederate soldier from the American Civil War. A lot of these personnel came here during this time because Cammell Laird, a local ship builder, built a number of ships for the Confederacy and its possible he was waiting to meet a sweetheart or someone but was killed/died before the meeting took place.
So yes, I will say that I have seen a ghost/spirit whatever you wish to call them. And as stated elsewhere, there are a lot of things we know nothing about yet. 200 years ago if you had said you would be able to talk with someone 12,000 miles away without shouting they would have laughed at you.

All deaths are the same, oxygen starvation to the brain.... the cause is irrelevant.

I'm sure I've told you about the experience that I had hearing my mother at what turned out to be the precise moment of her passing away 100 miles away. There's some strange stuff out there, to be sure.

Yeah, it does seem that way. I had a similar thing. Is it all in our minds though.????
The clarity of her voice, what she said and the coincidence of timing make it more than that IMO.

Do you think she's unhappy though????

Would it not be more accurate to state 'oxygenated blood starvation' to the brain?
After all, you can't just pump oxygen to the brain can you? (Not being sarcastic here by the way Ed).

Who's to know now? It was a one off in time for me. I'm sure that we'd all like to believe that our lives don't count for nothing and we have "souls" that carry on in some way or another a some kind of permanent and pain free entity. Oddly enough, IMHO this has little to do with religion or the existence of some god.

You're full of mirth and mystery tonight

True though, matters not whether you're stabbed, heart attack or decapitated, cancer, poisoned, or any other horrific manner, you die when your brain is starved of oxygen. Your brain stem sends out all manner of panic calls when it is dying, hence why I don't believe most of the rubbish.... but some things, just some things don't add up. Hence why I'm open minded about it.

I'd just been on a long drive down from up north and wen't into the kitchen and saw a see through grey shape going across the front of the sink unit and behind the table I told the wiser other half, she said O that's the ghost Peter,a dog we had to put down, freaky eh

Does anyone believe in re-incarnation?
How about 'Time-Slips' where a person can turn around or walk into a shop and feel themselves in another era? On turning back or walking out they are back in the present day.
Any thoughts?

why does the body lose about errrr 18g??? upon the moment of death... never been explained, no its nothing to do with exhalation, ejection of fluids, of course, people will say its your soul leaving you, but its an interesting and unexplained phenomenon. Theres is definitely more than to our lives than meets the eye.
