supply for 3300 watt oven

Hi All,

Can you advise please.

A built in oven of 3300watt.

Would this require an independent circuit? or can it plug into a ring main. I believe that 3kw is the max into a 13amp socket, is this correct.

There is a separate circuit going in anyway for the electric hob in 10mm cable. Can the oven be taken off this if it needs too?

Yes, it requires it's own circuit. It isn't advisable to connect any cookers, ovens or hobs in excess of 2kw to ring final socket circuits :(
 
Depends on the size of the supply and how much the hob is using.
