I went to price a job being constructed where a builder constructed an extension,he asked a question I had not encountered before
The incoming supply is (surprisingly) 35mm double insulated mains tails across the rear wall high level and down to the head
It is jointed at a corner bracket to uninsulated single core supply cables from a post in a country lane (Tnc-s supply) s/p
He has removed a lean-to room and constructed a new double decker extension in its place
The consequence of this, the tails drop down what will become a bedroom wall
I stated the supply would need extending and moving outside
He wanted to just bury them,I said no way
So to the question, can these tails be mechanically protected at their present route ?
My view is no way,but would appreciate other views please
