Hello, I am painting some cast iron bench ends with a brush-applied paint.

How would you hold them while painting? They won't stand by themselves. If I lean them against a wall then I won't be able to cover the whole surface in one go.

I could try hanging them on wire?

Thanks

suspend by three strings.

three will support it without rolling over. You can hang it from a washing line, or the roof timbers of a shed or carport, or perhaps a branch.

if you make hooks out of wire you can detach one and turn the part over to paint the other side

when the paint is fully hard you can touch in the hook-marks.

Or, you can also stand it on several cans or flower pots or something.
