Hi guys,
Can anyone help me out this.

I have run 3 Cables from upstairs to down stairs.
1 X 1mm2 for a outside light
1 x 2.5mm2 for power to the loft
1 x 6mm2 for earth bonding in the bathroom.

They come from the floorboards to under the stairs, to go into the consumer unit.

I have pinned them to the wall & it looks quite neat, but nobody goes under the stairs.

So I wanted to know Is it ok to surface mount these cables or do they need to be inside trunking ????

trunking is only for neatness, conduit for mechanical protection

what if i had of said NO it must go in trunking? bit late now.

no it is all fine so long as you are happy

Thanks for this info breezer.

I just want to double check before the Electrician came to connect them to Consumer unit.

I dind't want him to turn up & say that they had to be in trunking.

Big thanks again mate
