Hi All,
I've bought a bathroom basin from Homebase and chose the suspended pedestal option. It came with no fitting kit. Homebase tell me that there is no specific mounting bracket and that you just use standard fixings to fit the sink and pedestal to the wall.
In their showroom display, the basin is fixed to the wall with 2 studs and nuts and the pedestal is secured underneath to two battens fixed to the wall. The pedestal provides some support to the basin in the showroom.
Can anyone tell me whether there should be a fitting kit specific for this basin as it feels far too heavy to be hung from the 2 fixing points themselves and the pedestal fixing points seem to be designed to only support the weight of the pedestal.
Thanks for any help.
Cheers,
Paul.
