Hi, I am planning on installing suspended decking on part of the lawn area in my garden. I will be concreting in post and secure the frame to those.

I'm wondering if I can get away with covering lawn below the decking with weed membrane and Sharpe sand, instead of removing the lawn?

The grass will die anyway under the decking.
Yes but the likes of sycamore seedlings will still flourish as they grow up through the decking. Yes use a membrame of some sort. I always just use large sheets of black DPM pierced with drainage holes to prevent flooding.

Would these work or be better than concreted in wood post to support the deck base?

The only concern I would have with them is that your levels would have to be pretty precise

My plan is to prop up the base at the right level and then pour the concrete to secure these support at the right level.
