Is there a minimum clearance from the ground to joist on a suspended floor.
I am guessing in my case it would be an airflow issue as the ground is dry and there is no real risk of flooding.

wouldnt of thought so,unless somewhere in building regs, but going by experiance on what i have seen over the years the depth of sub floor has ranged from a few inches to a bl00dy big ladder to get to the subfloor

It used to be a minimum of at least 75mm from top of oversite concrete to the bottom of the wall plate.
