suspension hooks fluoro lights

great thanks for that.

only thing is the fitting i got (from CEF) dont have holes in them. They told me the fitting can be suspended and gave me these hooks.
Im guessing that having a 20mm hole in the top of the fitting doesnt contravene regs as regards to IP4x as the fitting is up a height and is not readily accessible?

just looking for clarification if anybody can help :D

cheers

Are the fittings metal or plastic.
Most metal ones have elongated 20mm slots at 600m centres.
Plastic ones have no holes usually to retain there IP rating.
Them hooks not so good with plastic fittings

its metal. Tamlite 2x58W HF fitting. Defo no holes or anything 20mm in it. Just standard small predrilled holes. Im thinking they supplied the wrong part :?

What about a hook plate?

Take the fitting back and buy one from another wholesaler ( at a better price too!! )

So how would you mount your fitting if it was on besa boxes?

How many of these have you got to fit? If it's just a handful, you could always attach a standard hook plate as used on the ceiling end of the chain.

not quite sure what your asking here??

only got 2. Yeah thinking a hook plate maybe a good solution. Assuming this is a simple drill and tap method.

20mm holesaw would be quicker, or prefferably on that thin sheet steel, a punch.

I know tamshite are awful fittings, but even they have standard BESA fixings.
