"Stolen tortoise is home again
Police investigating the theft of Fergie the tortoise from Blackberry Farm in Whitesmith near Uckfield say he has been returned safe and well.

They say the two-year-old Hermann’s tortoise was stolen shortly before 5pm on Saturday but following an appeal on social media he was returned at about 11am yesterday.

Staff at the farm said he had been reunited with his companion Dexter and thanked everyone for their help and support.

Fergie and Dexter were donated to the farm by a visitor, and both are microchipped.

Police say their inquiries are ongoing."
