swap plug and connect to the mains

i brought a pack of 3 spot lights today and got home and they have a plug on but i want to connect them to the mains do i just cut the plug off and connect the wires to the wires in the wall where the old light was?

Looks more like under cabinet lighting, what are they for?
You have a trany connected to them as they are extra low voltage, the transformer would need to be accessible for inspection and testing purposes, it can lay in the ceiling, if plenty of ventilation is available and you have easy access to it.
It would be possible to hard-wire these but I would firstly check the manufacturers instruction to see if they allow this, you may need to bring the fuse rating down to that which is in the plug!
