Hi...

Really hoping I can tap into the collective wisdom of this forum, please folks.

I'm renovating my Dad's house and want to replace the installed British Gas BR2 thermostat and wireless receiver with a Tado v3 thermostat and extension kit.

I've used the app to try and get installation instructions but keep getting an internal server error.

I've searched for info online but can't find anything. I understand that the backplate for the BR2 is the same as a Hive single channel receiver?

I've taken a photo of the existing wireless receiver wired into the boiler. Can anyone help me, please, with which wires go into which terminals on the Tado extension backplate?

Thanks so much.

If the Tado is an industry standard backplate then it'll clip on. If not you need the following from existing to Tado:

N to N
L to L
1 to common
3 to heating on/normally open(NO)

Sometimes a link is required, not sure in your case, but just do above for now

That's great. Thank you very much.

It's not a clip on backplate as far as I'm aware, so I'll wire appropriately
