Switched fuse spurs in conservatory...why?

MCB is the little switch in the 'fuse box', (now called a consumer unit or CU for short), which replaces the old style fuses that had a wire in them.

A ceiling looks naked without a light and it does serve as a backup light for wall lights when they fail - you cannot beat having some choice in lighting.
A nice smooth ceiling with no dangly bits looks good, 5 amp sockets for me in the lounge, conservatory & bedroom, good flexibility, either big standard lamps or subtle Tibetan rock salt

There could be some sockets, connected to the spare switches. Either 2A or 5A round pin or standard 13A.

Sorry, wouldn't know an MCB circuit from a packet of chocolate Hobnobs :D
Harry was referring to the switch thingies in your consumer unit/'fuse box'.

Another way he could have asked you a similar question would have been to ask you what it was that you switched off to make sure that, when you replaced the 'fused spurs', you wouldn't get fried by electricity - did you perhaps simply switch your entire electrical installation off?

Kind Regards, John
