That's great in principle, but the problem is distinguishing the genuine needy from economic migrants, mostly male, who are happy to leave their women and children in supposedly dangerous places.

  • Between 2015 and 2020, approximately 16,350 refugees were resettled in England and Wales under the Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme (VPRS) and the Vulnerable Children's Resettlement Scheme (VCRS).
  • Those resettled are primarily of Syrian nationality (91%), with slightly higher proportions of males (52%) than females (48%), and around half (50%) aged under 18 years on arrival; two years after arrival, most are still living in the local authority where they were first resettled (over 80%).

Did I say that
Clearly you were, at one point concerned about the data being uptodate. But when it was suggested you ask the originator of the issue, for more uptodate figures, you decided it wasn't needed.
Thus, either a) it wasn't important, b) or you had the more uptodate figures, in which case you would have provided them, but you didn't for reasons unknown, c) or you were just making silly, unhelpful comments.
Which was it?

I said it’s out of date. It is!
 
Many of whom have conveniently 'misplaced' all their ID documents.
